Group Guidelines
Groups are for chatting with fellow Guinness drinkers in your city and meeting up for a pint. We just have a few rules to keep in mind when interacting here:
- Be friendly. Treat people in the chat the way you would treat them at the bar.
- Keep discussion topics relevant. Keep politics, religion, and other controversial subjects out of the chat.
- No spam or advertising. We remove promo codes, sales links, and self-promotion. Links in general are not allowed, apart from links to The Guinness Map.
- No harassment or hate. Insults, threats, or slurs are not tolerated.
- Nothing sexual or graphic in nature, in messages or in photos.
- No personal information, please. Don't post phone numbers, addresses, or anyone else's details.
- Nothing dangerous or illegal. No drugs, no drink driving, and no pressuring anyone to drink more than they want.
- Only create a meetup you plan to go to, and cancel it if plans change.
- Look out for each other at meetups, drink responsibly, and never leave a drink unattended. Always prioritize safety when arranging and attending meetups.
Moderation
To report a message, open its menu and choose 'Report.' The person you report won't know it was you.
We check every message against these rules automatically, then review anything flagged or reported ourselves. Nothing is removed until the concern has been reviewed.
We may remove messages or photos that break the rules, and ban accounts that become continual offenders.
