The Clonard remains an anomaly to me. I’ve had some absolute belters here - top tier pints. But I’ve had many very mediocre pulls too. At its worst, it’s still better than most in the city, but some consistency would really bring me back more often.

A solid showing. Worth a stop in, especially to catch some sport. Great pub grub as well. The pint was well balanced with good domage. A tad creamy, a touch cold, but a cut well above a lot of places nearby. Great service and friendly staff too.

Started too cold & settled quite bitter. Fine for my mood, not fine for my pint. Appearance wise, it looked great but didn’t have much creaminess. I’d go again if I’m in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way. Good update on the ✏️ Factory though!

It could use a little work. Servicable in the right conditions. Unfortunately a 16oz pour. Bar itself is great - old faithful in the neighborhood. But Irish owned & biting Guinness for their own merch/branding while serving a 16oz pour is sacrilege.

Swift is a seductive place that will trap you. One of the earliest purveyors of a proper pint in NYC. “She's a seductress, she's a siren, she's a virgin, she's a w*ore.”

A welcome addition to the area. More modern pub feel. Crowds come and go. Plenty of people on the plain. Pints were good enough to hook me for 5. Bar staff were friendly. Will be a real treat when they open the back patio in spring.

Great old school boozer. First pint had some bubbles in the head. Glassware could be cleaner. Shame it’s only a 16oz pour. Solid domage - the bar is so old you can see it slanting in the photo. Would get higher marks with 20oz/cleaner glassware.

A decent effort, especially for STL. Interesting draft system. 2 part pour, but did the second part with gas flowing. Mix seems off. Head settles very high & tasted too bitter. Could care less about shamrocks in the foam, but appreciate the effort.

As good as it gets in St Louis. Irish pub in an Irish neighborhood running more than one Guinness tap. Paired my pints with the fish sandwich. Looking forward to doing the same on my next visit. A bit too much head on the pint. Slightly watery too.

Surprisingly excellent pour from a modern Irish bar. Crew running it seems great and keen to build up the next generation of Irish owned pubs in the city. Pint hit many benchmarks some old boozers still can’t dial in. Could have easily stayed for 4!

A very solid pint from the new pub on the block. Bar was rammed on a Saturday evening, so glassware wasn’t fully drying out. But the pints were flowing and settling nicely. Crowd skewed younger. Worth a stop in if you’re sampling the area.

Absolutely elite by US standards. Small town boozers can be a gamble in the States. Not here. The most ‘at home’ I’ve felt in an Irish pub outside of Ireland. Exceptional whiskey selection and the elusive Kilkenny also on draught. 7 dollar pints!

Top drawer pint. Best in NYC. Glassware is spotless. Barrels are always flowing. Gas mix is perfectly dialed. Oh my goodness. What a spanking pub.
