Murphy’s stan settling for Guinness in NYC
They have 38 reviews with an average rating of 3.87
The vibe in this place is not my style; a little midtowny, more restaurant than bar, but I must admit the Guinness was solid.

I wouldn’t say their Guinness is comparable to Grace’s or Hartley’s yet, but it was very nice and poured with attention. Apparently they’re training their bartenders specifically on Guinness so things will probably only improve.

Appearance was so bad, which was really shocking for a nice Irish restaurant so it was a pleasant surprise when the taste was great! The look did not match the flavor, so just close your eyes I guess.

Creaminess wasn’t really there - glass was a little underfilled and the head had a few bubbles, but it’s still one of the better pours in the area.

The platonic ideal. Your favorite pint’s favorite pint. I don’t even recommend getting one because it will haunt your dreams forever.

One of the more touristy spots on the north side of the Lee, but for good reason…great pints and there’s often trad on to go with them.

We had a few pints here and the consistency isn’t 100% but obviously none were terrible and some were very nice (the big back garden doesn’t hurt the flavor of the pints either).

The vibes are a little off and so are the pints - abroad you’d be happy to get a Guinness like this but in a city where there are great pours around every corner? Pass.

For a place where the barmen kept forgetting to finish the pints, these were shockingly good.

Couple of different style glasses, all official, all good. Handsome pint and flavor not far behind. (Unrelated: good food & kitchen open late)

There are precious few Guinness on the Vineyard (mostly in Edgartown), so if you’re really having a craving this is a contender, but in the grand scheme of things not a great pour. Looks serviceable but tastes pretty flat.

Not a stunner but not bad. Creaminess left much to be desired but if you’re in the mood for a stout it’d do the trick.

20 oz glass. The carbonation looked alright but but the pint was very cold so tasted flat and flavorless. No 2-part pour either. It wasn’t offensive but I would go for something else here.

20 oz glass, and the pour itself seemed good…I think the keg was old, maybe? Looked nice enough at first glance, but turned out to be truly the flattest pint I’ve had. I watched them pour the next few and there was ZERO carbonation.

Not disgusting or anything, just underwhelming. Two part pour, came in a nonic pint glass. Lacking in flavor, no richness.

For an Irish spot this Guinness was sort of woeful - servers were all super nice but the pint itself was thin and flavorless.

This place has the feel of a pub but seems to focus more on cocktails…and the Guinness reflects that. Not disgusting or anything but I wouldn’t order it again.

We were served in 16 oz branded glasses, but most of the bar wasn’t. Taste was inoffensive but watery. They did a little shamrock in the foam which I think most Guinness-drinkers wouldn’t be a fan of.

$11 is tough to stomach (especially when a superior pint is available cheaper just across the street) but this was a very solid pint.

16oz glass so I can really only give this a 4, but the pour was good, can’t fault the taste.

The bartender cleared the line before pouring which makes me think they don’t serve much Guinness, and also let it rest for a little too long, but nevertheless was a good-tasting if not picturesque pint, and atmosphere was great.

I’ve had many pints here, and they’re consistently great - I initially expected that a spot modeled so closely after a Dublin original would be inferior to the OG, but I’ve yet to find a flaw.

Only $7, but for a 16oz…the glass actually somehow looked even tinier than 16oz. Flavor/creaminess was better than I expected, but it’s hard to get over the mini glass.

Pint exceeded my expectations for a sports bar (sports bar/Irish pub as it turns out). Came in a full-size 20 oz glass; bit odd that the bar is cash-only but there’s an ATM at the back.

20oz glass, 2-part pour, Taytos to go with your pint, and dogs allowed during the day…surprisingly good for what turns into a college bar at night.
