Own a Pub on The Guinness Map? Here's What's New for You

Most of what we build is for the people drinking the Guinness. This one is for the people pouring it!

Thousands of pubs and bars are on The Guinness Map, and people review them every day. Until now, the owners of those places had no say in their own listing. Today that changes.

Free tools for owners

If you own or run a pub on the map, you can now claim it. Open your listing, tap "Own this business? Claim it", and fill in a few details about who you are. Use your official business email if you can, as it makes checking your claim much quicker. Once we've approved it, you can manage your listing for free.

Here's what you can do:

  • Respond to reviews. Reply to any review of your pub. Your response shows right under the review, marked as coming from the owner, and the reviewer gets an email letting them know.
  • See your stats. Find out how many people have viewed your listing over the last 30 days, with a daily chart so you can see when interest picks up.
  • Add your own details. Write a description, add your website, and set your official Guinness price. Your price shows next to the community's average, and it doesn't affect your rating or ranking.
  • Upload a cover photo. Choose the photo people see for your pub across the map, cards and search.

All of this is free, and always will be.

Partnerships

For owners who want to go further, we're also introducing partnerships. A partnership puts your pub in front of Guinness drinkers in your city:

  • A crown on your pub's marker, so it stands out on the map
  • A spot at the top of search results and the map list when people look around your area
  • A card in the feed and The Hub
  • Room to promote whatever you like, whether that's your event space, trivia night, happy hour, or just your Guinness
  • Insights on how your partnership is doing, including how many people saw it and how many clicked through

It's the same idea we've had from the start. We'll never show random ads or charge people to use the site. Partnerships are only for pubs that are already on the map, and they help us cover the cost of running the platform.
